Pure brass products, crafted from an alloy of zinc and copper, develop a natural patina over time. Whether a bright, shiny look or a more aged appearance is preferred, care is simple.
To prevent water stains, wipe the product dry immediately after use. Applying a layer of coconut oil occasionally helps it age evenly and beautifully.
For cleaning aged brass, mix flour and vinegar to create a paste. Rub this paste onto the product with a soft cloth or toothbrush. Wash with warm water and dry immediately. Finally, seal the product with a small amount of coconut oil.

This Elephant Brass Urli is the perfect addition to my entryway decor. It arrived much faster than I expected, and it’s heavier and more durable than it looks in the photos. The detailing on the elephants is incredible. I filled it with water and floating candles during Diwali, and it was the centrepiece of my home. I also appreciate that it doesn’t tarnish easily after repeated use. Worth every penny!
