Hand-painted florals, on the smallest piece at the table.
The katori is where a hand-painted motif does the most work — it sits at eye level in the thali and is the piece guests pick up first. Clear-glazed over soft floral brushwork, and at 10 cm slightly more generous than the plain katoris, so it also works for dessert and chaat.
Why You'll Love It

The Stoneware Ceramic Collection by Lair Living
Every piece in the Stoneware Ceramic Collection is handmade — hand-thrown, hand-glazed and high-fired to stoneware density by artisans in India. That density is the point: it holds heat longer, resists chipping at the rim where cheaper ceramics fail, and takes daily washing without dulling. Slight differences in glaze and form between pieces are the signature of handmade work, not a flaw. Designed to sit alongside Lair Living's brass and kansa, and to be lived with for years.
